The TTC's 5-Year Service Plan

This year, the TTC introduced its first-ever 5-Year Service Plan to improve reliability, crowding and overall transit service.

The Plan serves as a blueprint for the delivery of surface transit improvements between 2020 and 2024. Specific actions have been identified under five pillars to improve passenger experience, keep pace with population growth, and support the expansion of Toronto's transit network. You can find more information about the 5-Year Service Plan on the TTC's website.

To accommodate changing ridership patterns that will result from the opening of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, the TTC will be introducing new bus routes and adjusting existing services. Earlier this fall, Councillor Robinson met with senior TTC Service Planning staff to reiterate the need for extensive consultation with Ward 15 communities prior to any route alterations.

The TTC will be holding multiple community consultations in the new year to solicit feedback from local residents. To request updates about the Plan and upcoming consultations, you can email planning@ttc.ca with the subject line "5-Year Service Plan & 10-Year Outlook".
