Upcoming Registration Deadline - Vacant Home Tax

Toronto's new Vacant Home Tax is now in effect and all homeowners are required to submit a declaration of occupancy status by February 2nd, 2023.

Homeowners can make their declaration online by visiting the City's virtual declaration portal and entering the 21-digit assessment roll number and customer number provided on their property tax bill or property tax account statements. Residents can also complete a paper declaration form if they are more comfortable with hard-copy forms – all paper forms must be completed in full and received by the City before the deadline.
