Extending Patio Season: CafeTO Update

In June, the City launched the CaféTO program to support Toronto's restaurant community through the COVID-19 pandemic by facilitating curb lane and sidewalk patios on our main streets. Since then, more than 870 CaféTO patios have been opened at restaurants across the City.

To maximize the program's utility and help extend patio season as late into the fall as possible, the City is allowing portable heating devices on outdoor patios in Toronto, including those located on sidewalks and in curb lanes. All heating devices must comply with guidelines set out by Toronto Fire Services.

You can plan your next visit to a Ward 15 patio by visiting my website for a full list of local restaurants with outdoor dining facilities. #ShopLocalEatLocal

The City is seeking your feedback on the CaféTO program! Share your experiences by filling out a short online survey.
