Park Openings – Mossgrove Park and Banbury Park

It seems as though summer was just yesterday! I hope everyone in Ward 15 was able to spend plenty of time outdoors enjoying the sunny weather because before we know it, the cold weather will be here to stay. I was proud to officially open the new playgrounds at Banbury Park and Mossgrove Park in September.

After years of hard work and extensive consultation with the community, Banbury Park and Mossgrove Park are now home to brand new playgrounds. Banbury Park features a new junior play structure, a mini summit climber, lolliladder, tight rope, and smart play cube. At Mossgrove Park, a new playground was installed, complete with swings, slides, and a teeter-totter, along with a unique "bamboo jungle" fitness component.

I was honoured to share the ribbon cutting ceremonies with so many neighbours and friends on September 21. I could not have asked for better weather, as we spent all day outside enjoying the new playgrounds. It was great to see so many familiar faces and meet some new ones in Ward 15.

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks for your patience and engagement throughout this process. Playgrounds are a critical element of complete, liveable communities and I hope you are all as excited about these new improvements to the neighbourhood as I am!
